Running in 4wd is killing you after 1st gear. I'd rather baby the launch than lose that much power once rolling.

I was gonna say like the 4x4 light on at 80 MPH, Would it hurt to reach down and switch in up to two High after the 1-2 shift, maybe that can be a trade mark like Steve MQueen giving a shot of gas between shifts in Bullet!

Thanks for starting up the forgottens, have signed up and am waiting for a response.

The forgotten club now has 3 members. Thanks for the idea.

I'm sure 4x4 is really killing me at higher speeds. Its not possible to shift out of 4x4 mid-run though. I'll try a few launches in 2wd and see what happens. Better do all my testing now before I get my new tires lol.

Just waitin on a buddy with a video camera and I'll take some burnout/donut videos since I'll be gettin new rubbers pretty soon anyway

It sounds good but I guess Im just use to mine cause that seemed fairly slow as far as acceleration goes. But 4x4 and large tires and added weight is probably whats doing it.

its def the 4x4. I gotta do another run without it. It FEELS really quick (a heck of a lot faster than my buddies Saturn Ion Redline he brags about lol). Perhaps its just cause its so heavy it puts a lot of G-forces during acceleration. After looking at that video a couple times, I'll admit it does look pretty slow.

I've got about 300 extra pounds of stuff in the bed, so I'll take that out, perfect this tuning a little bit, and then launch in 2wd and see how much it improves.

It doesn't look slow man, best I could figure it looks like 0-60 in about 7 which is good for such a heavy truck.

the problem with this addiction is, once you have the performance you wanted at one point, its no longer enough. im already thinking what i can do to make it even faster...ugh

Man, don't get caught up trying to make it into a racer. A fast truck is just that a "Fast Truck". If it makes you smile then that is as fast as it needs to be. Good luck....
