The Bad
So yesterday I had the afternoon off and went to meet a friend of mine for lunch. I back into the stall and sit there to wait for him. As I'm sitting there listening to tunes a 2007 Acura Rdx pulls in next to me. For whatever reason I tilt my mirror down to watch if she rests her door on my paint. So she opens her door and WHAAAM! It's like she opened the door and kicked it right into the side of my truck!!! So I open my door and confront her about it (in hindsight the words "are you ****ing serious?!?!" may not have been the best choice) and she says she's sorry blah blah blah. So we look into the damage and her door scratched the paint. It's not horrible at this point but enough that I'm obviously upset. She says what's it going to take to fix it and I tell her well it will obviously need to be polished to get the scratches out. Here's where I get into it with her. She says "no you don't you just need to go to the parts store and get some touchup paint"... To which I replied "You don't put touch up paint on a twelve thousand dollar paint job miss" so she gets on the phone and starts speaking chinese or something to her husband while I look over the truck. Well while she's on her phone I find a crease where she dented it! So anyways long story short she says it's not there and I end up getting two strangers to confirm it's dented exactly where she hit me. I get her insurance and her number and we part ways.

I went to the body shop after lunch and it's gonna be $923.21 to fix the dent and paint!! So I call her and she says go to insurance. So here's hoping that that works out in my favor.


Now the good

The bodyshop is owned by a guy I gave a killer deal to for 20's and 37's on his 07 Dodge 3500 when I was running KalTire in town here so he's gonna turn it around and were gonna airbrush some smoke, skulls and reclear the whole truck while it's in there and he won't charge me to fix that dent. So all of the insurance money that goes towards fixing it will actually go into my previous plans of airbrushing the truck.

Anyways that's my rediculous story for the day. I don't have any pics cause I can't get the dent or scratches to show up on my pos camera.

Sorry about the long story and lack of grammar. I do however feel much better after venting. You guys are like a therapist the way y'all listen lol

 

Yeah man I feel your pain, never mess with a guy's truck. That p!sses me off too, I would be furious if that happend to my truck and I don't even have a paint job like yours. I hope it gets fixed and she pays for what she negligently damaged.

 

The bad- Dude that sucks, especially if u wasnt there and she left and ur stuck with it and u have to fork out the cash!!! but good $hit u dont have to, and the airbrush of skulls sounds awesome!

 

I know what you mean man. Its sad how people just don't care. I have about a 2in long dent, about a 1/4 deep, on my passenger door where someone rammed it with a shopping car. I mean ram too, not bump.

 

pfft, you wanna hear about dents and scrapes, just come look at my truck. Seems like every other day I come out to a new dent or white mark.

damn, some people suck. Id be super pissed too if i saw that happen to my truck. Your real lucky that you got to watch her do it instead of finding that dent and scratch there one day. And that awesome that you can get some extra work done for free now.

 

What a *****. You should have left a mushroom print on her glasses.

Sucks man, at least you were there to catch it! I'm afraid to park my truck anywhere other than my driveway. I've had too many door dings that i havent had the pleasure of observing.

Good for you man. Some people just dont pay any attention to their surroundings.
