35w vs 55w hid kit
Hey guys.I have always wondered about this since I had my ram. I have my 35w kit from hid extra and works fine np with the relay harness. I love it. I have seen they came out with 55w hid kits now. I know our stock bulbs are 55w. If I were to upgrade to a 55w hid kit, Would that eliminate the need for the relay kit cause its the same watt bulb as factory or would I still need the relay kit cause it takes little power to start up. Its just that I hate having all of that damn wiring in the engine and I thought being the stock watt bulb as stock I wouldn't need the relay kit. Just thinking about it. Thanks guys.
the 55w hid kit can even fit to some models' fog lights like Avenger,Caravan and Dakota.....
you can choose vvme 55w digital hid kit, plug-and-play, no need to install with relay harness cos they use two power cables attached to bulbs....
i run vvme 55w hid kit 43k for more than one year already, very bright ...i like it....
but firstly, i recommend you to check which 55w hid kit for you Dodge model....that i checked before.....

if your car computer(can-bus system) system state that you can install 55w hid, then it is no problem to upgrade to 55w bulbs with 55w ballast to make ur headlamps more bright.....
lol cross door your sig says 43k hid kit....that would be so purple it would almost be black
i have heard of some problems with projectors and tinted lenses with a 55w kit. Fogging of plastic due to heat. Also the 55w are known for being somewhat blinding in non projector housings

for some smaller fog lights,55w Kits are not recommended cos they tend to concentrate a large amount of heat in a small area and might melt your fog lights houses....
It is actually possible to have a 55w kit less bright than 35w and that is because of the configurations listed above.
he is teasing you because you have them listed as 43k when in reality they are 4300k.
Not necessarily true. Under normal thinking thats what comes to mind, the more wattage the brighter the bulb. But there were several studies and presentations done on some HID boards some time back about this and there are several things that come into play such as bulb type with certain salts in bulbs, ballast type (quality), aiming, projectors, painted or non-painted headlights.

Yeah we have seen many guys blister and melt their headlights with 35w HIDs due to having them tinted. I actually sent a guy a spare pair of lens a few months back because of this.
