a few years back I had a junkstang tented out but before I tented, I took pictures of the car so if I got ticked for tent I could just wipp out the picks! I was only botherd once. I got them picks out, was all geared up to prove that I stripped em down but they never ascked for proof. Just asked me if it was legal, no proof needed!

 

they have to roll down the windows to check them...we should hook a switch up under the dash to disable the window switches on the drivers side door. Cant get em down, cant check em

Just wanna clear up a few misnomers on this thread btw. First, not most, but a handful of states allow perscription tint, 2nd, Most states allow any tint on rear windows with dual mirrors installed.Cops doing a safety check (for dui I would imagine) Should only do that with the concerned citizen. 3rd congress did not pass these laws! Your f&^ked up town council Or state repesentatives passed these archaic laws. Congress is federal. I know in this state the cops just have too suspect over tinting, they write nyou up a inspection ticket. No fine, but if you do not get it done bye bye registation. ****in a$$hole cop pulled over this one guy's car,totally legal btw we are talking 50% at least and wrote the car up. Why b/c of the hottie guy's sister was driving it. For real! jmho, But one thing is certain, when they want too enforce. They enforce. And there is NOTHING WE CAN DO ABOUT IT !!!
ps. btw some one posted a web site for autotint had all the fifty sate laws on tint specs that was helpful btw.

 

Well I looksed at the papers he gave me and I'm gonna try to fight it. Cuz,
1. He wrote my name wrong so I can say that's an insult to me ha ha
2. He didn't put his badge number or his name plus loction

I think your screwed. the canadien mounted police always get there man lol. or in this case the tint off your windows. Pity you can even see the rear side window through the front side tinted window. wtf? In your sig. btw.

 

You could ask to see the calibration certificate for the tint measuring device he used, if it's not current then you can probably fight it successfully, especially given the 2 other items you mentioned....

 

All my rides' tint jobs are WAY too dark (15%). I got stopped in the Mazda last weekend. Not a peep about the tint, just a ticket for 54 in a 45 (I was doin' 61 in that 45). I did hear recently of someone getting a tint ticket here recently, but it isn't a heavy enforcement issue (yet). As budgets tighten up, it'll get added as a revenue enhancement.

 

Yup. But u know. I could care less about seeing. I have no problem seeing. I have a backup camera mounted that I Ise at night. Otherwise its not a problem. I can't help it that u, the people who live those communists states, have issues th tnt enforcement. U don't like their laws, move or just lighten ur tint.
