Well i just got my new exhaust done on my 2003 dodge ram hemi 4x4. The exhaust was single duals just like all the other 03's but i got custom true duals done. I got 2 1/2 inch from almost manafold back because i had to cut the y and the 2 1/2inch runs to the back of the cab through two punched out cats. Then behind the cats i have 2 flowmaster outlaw mufflers that are 3inch in and out, and then from there back its all 3inch dual tail pipes. It is loud and sounds good, i will be posting pics tomaro. But my question is i think i need and xpipe because it just dont seem like it has it anymore like it did before with my single into duals. Its a dog now for some reason. So when i post pics tomaro you guys can tell me were i should place the xpipe and which one to get because there aint to much room and the pipes arent spread to far apart. And also do you think a xpipe would help? And would it quiet it down? And will it still sound like the truck has true duals?
Yeah i read that wrong on the other board. So the only thing you have causing your doggy-ness is either the two pipes or the raising of the size to 3". Maybe if you got more air in with a ported TB or CAI it would help??????
You don't have any back pressure either in my opinoin . that is your problem.Get new cats and your issue will be resolved in my opinion.
Eh, I'm with Weed on this. More airflow going in will equalize out with how much is able to get out now, more exhaust coming in will create more backpressure to fill those nice new pipes
