Default PIAA Xtreme White Vs. Plasmaglow Xenon

I was going to be replacing my stock bulbs with the PIAAs but I came across the Plasmaglow Xenon stock replacements at Moe's and they are a fraction of the cost. Has anyone had experience with the PGs?

I don't mind spending the extra cash on the PIAAs knowing that they make an excellent product however is the PGs are just as good I'd be dumb to spend all the extra cash.

I've heard the PIAAs are brighter. But at their price, it's alot cheaper to install HIDs and you'll get higher light output. Either way, I believe both the PIAAs and the Plasmaglows have fairly short lifespans due to the higher wattage. Both are better than the silverstar ultras though by far.

I have the plasmaglow xenon-krypton platinums 85w in my headlights and foglights ($39 no tax free shipping). So far I like them very much both in terms of light output and color. I used to use silverstars but got tired of them burning out so frequently and plasmaglow claims to have a 10 year no questions asked replacement warranty so I thought i'd give them a try. I've never used PIAA so can't compare with those. Though I do think that nothing beats real HID as far as brightness is concerned but I wanted to try these out first.

Great thanks for the feedback. I want to keep the truck legal so HIDs without a retrofit isn't an option and a retrofit is not possible in GTMO. I heard that the Silverstars go out all the time so I wanted to give one of the other two a shot first. I guess I'll try the PGs first and ride them out until they die.
Thanks again.

Remember that anything over 55 watts in your headlights is illegal as well, so make sure if you want to stay legal you keep it 55w or under

Wasn't aware of that, thanks for the heads up.
