Default Water/Methanol injection on a 2007 5.7L?

I was talking to one of my buddies tonight and he told me about water/methanol injection kits he has one on his car but he has a turbo. He told me they make them for cars without turbo or superchargers but i cant seem to find an answer. Wondering if anyone else knows anything more about it.

only adds like 5 hp for gassers i think. they are good for diesels tho i think around 80 hp and runs at much cooler temps.

Waste of time on NA vehicles. On boost though...

Meth is very very addicting.

The kits we put on are made to spray onto the intercooler making air flow within the intercooler alot colder. Im sure the non turbo kit would come with piping, intercooler and a filter to cap it off. It would work basically the same way a turbo kit would but you would not have exhaust heat to cool off. I dont think you would be able to tell a difference. Really would be a waste of money IMO

What about gas mileage? Does it do anything for that in a gas motor non-turbo?

It is to keep detonation away. No power gains really from the methanol itself. It allows you to run more boost/compression without detonation. It won't do much on anything on a stock engine

No mpg gains. I wish it did, I would have it on my Ram because the stuff is cheap. Most people that use it on their blown/turbo engines just use windshield washer fluid because it has methanol in it.
So far, other than my Diablosport Predator the best way I have found to get better mpg's is to drive the wife's Caliber

I've found parked is the best fuel economy; what kind of gain did you see from Diablo in mileage?

Custom exhaust and headers provided a little gain, but it won't pay for itself. Plus the rumble of exhaust seems to make me use the pedal more!

Sounds like the hydrogen generator threads re-invented all over again...
