you can probably talk them down a bit, really all i did with mine was when they told me $14,000, i said "hmmm...i'll think about it..." and left them with my number and they called me the next day and said all they needed was $10,000 for it. just research the price elsewhere, like the Kelley Blue Book tell them that you can get it cheaper somewhere else (even if you can't) and most of all, dont be nervous and NEVER bite on the first price...wait it out a bit, they will drop so they can get the sale. it works every time for me, and im only 18 and ive gone through 3 vehicles already. it works every time for me. at first try to get them to take a $18,000 - $20,000. try low first, if not. they will "work" with you, and eventually (unless someone else wants it) they will give you a good deal.

$22k for an '06!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Granted it's low mileage and looks to be in great shape, but hell.... That's a $16-17k truck down here topps!

About two years ago when diesel hit $6 a gallon here, for the first time since I've been in the south, they actually were discounting diesel trucks off retail and I seriously thought about picking up a new '08 CTD 2500 QCSB 4x4 that stickered $46k and was marked down to $36k. They offered me $12,400 for MY truck, an '04 Laramie 4x4, with an easy $8k in mods and at that time about 38k miles on it... I would imagine now, two years later, I'd be lucky to see $10,000 for mine in trade. When the time comes, I obviously need to come up there and sell mine and come back down here to buy one!!!
