Default Radio Wiring For 2008 Dodge Ram 1500

Good Mornin All,

I have a 2008 Dodge Ram 1500. I am tring to wire in a hi-low (RCA) converter to the back of the radio but I cant determine where the four converter wires go. O know they go to the speaker wires. I also know that the wires for each speaker are sorta twisted together. Can anyone help me with some directions and a diagram.

Thanks

This is for a 2007, but I am willing to bet that they are the same for both years. Try this....

make sure you use the front door speakers. The rears have low output.

The wiring from 02-08 is the same, your going about this the wrong way the front speakers are usually grey/grey-black and white/white-black and the back is green/green-black and purple/purple-black, this is off the top of my head. I'm not sure what your doing or how your gonna make it work but take a pic of what you have and let me know what you got hooking the amp up to power, remember if you dont have a 12v remote wire the amp wont turn on read the directions

It is not going to sound worth a damn, I hate to be the one to bear the bad news but it's gonna sound like sh*t. I used a converter before I got my headunit and I thought it was awesome till I heard a friend's who actually had an aftermarket headunit. It's not even worth the effort imo just buy a cheapo headunit, even a walmart Dual brand radio is better than factory.
