SLT exterior door trim
How difficult is it to add the black slt exterior door trim? Are they clipped in (which probably would require cutting notches in the door?) or just applied with an adhesive?
Thanks for the help in advance

what door trim are you talking about exactly? if you are referring to the door spears down near the bottom of the door, they just stick on with adhesive.
i wanna say its an adhesive, i couldnt imagine any modern car manufacturer cutting notches in the metal to add some body side cladding. if its the spears on the driver and passenger side doors you are talking about, i know lots of guys on here have stripped those off in the debadging process so im pretty sure those are adhesive as well.
Thanks for the replies! Yep, the spears that run along the bottom half of the door. That's great if they just glue on, was thinking on the older ram I had they were clipped in, but maybe it was glued on. I wanted to add the door spear trim but didn't want it bad enough to cut in the door just for the clips....
Probably just used to the way my old dodge looked with the spear trim and tailgate trim. Guess most newer models don't have the trim, but it really saves the doors from getting chipped and dinged in the parking lot
