Default HELP!! trucks dead

So my wife drove the truck home spitting and sputtering the other day, it died as she pulled it into the driveway. I assumed she had just ran it out of gas as I have had some problems with the guage reading correctly. I put gas in it and it wouldn't start. Threw the po300 multiple cylinder misfire code. Checked all the wires and connections and tried to start it again, I got it started gave it some gas a few times and heard an awful metal rattling noise so I shut it off. Pulled all the plugs and on the drivers side closest to the firewall the electrode was smashed into the plug. The engine will crank by hand to a certain point then will not go any further. Suggestions?? I'm getting ready to go pull the valve cover and head on that side to take a look, anyone want to guess??

Broken rod somehow? If the plug got swatted by the piston, the piston was trespassing, big time. Doesn't sound good. Good luck on this one.

Plug damage is never a good thing. I would NOT turn it over anymore! You need to have it looked at by a qualified mechanic.

Could be a dropped valve... You will know when you get the head off. What engine? Good luck..

I'd guess you spun a rod bearing. If its not under warranty, pull the oil pan and check the suspect cylinder. Either way, valve or bearing-----its done until its repaired.

If you continue trying to roll it over or fire it, you may do substantially more damage.

Pull the valve cover and check the valves for that cylinder, if you don't find something there, its most likely the bottom end.

Forgot to mention there was about a gallon and a half of antifreeze in the oil when I drained it, as well as oil tainted coolant in the radiator when I took it out.

Let's just hope it is a broken head, but it sounds bad. But on the other hand you can tell the wife, hey you broke my motor now I have to replace it. I smell a mod.
