box for under back seat of 2007 Quad Cab
I was wondering if anyone on here has made their own box, either mdf, or fiberglass for a 3rd Gen Quad Cab. I am only putting in 1 10" Kicker Classic and am wanting to put it under the passenger side rear. The local shop here Car Toys said they would make me a fiberglass box with an MDF top, and covered to match the gray interior for 149.99 I think that is the look I am going for. Hopefully this will get me a lower profile box with more room for that sub to do its thing. Has anyone made their own? I have seen a few on ebay all mdf from anywhere from 55 to 150 and they seem good just really bulky? Any thoughts on what you have put in would be great or if you have designs that would be awesome too. I would also buy a used one if anyone is interested in getting rid of one.. Again thanks in advance ya'll
Thanks for all the input I looked at the fox box online and it shows the internal volume for a single 10" being 1.3 cubic feet that seems like a lot ! My sub only calls for .66 and most other kickers seem to be in the .8 range any thoughts
Here is a good link for you to check out. This is what I am going to attempt next, just behind the driver's side.

I went the fiberglass/mdf route. Here are a few pictures of the process.
You could just do this to one side obviously.

i waited and waited for the foxacoustics guy to bring back his dual 10" box back in august and i waited for months. after a while my buddy told me about subthump.com and that his friend had ordered one and it was super solid. so i got one n mine fit perfectly!
seems to be more work than necessary to build your own. I picked up a dual 10" box on ebay for cheap and within three days I had my subs plugged in and crankin. Running two Rockford HX2 1000 watt subs and it looks and sounds great.
