^^^ Agreed. There are MANY different type of units also. Which specific one are you talking about?

The unit itself. I have a TomTom GO 630, all touch screen, I just want to see where everyone has been mounting it. Like on the dash, windown or somewhere else.

someplace where u can look at the screen and the road at the same time. the suction cup on the windshield creates a huge blind spot for me on the widescreen gps. but anyways mount if someplace removable or atleast not visable to others when parked

Mine's on the driver's end of the dash, stuck to the windshield down low. Power cable runs inside the dash, out the end of it to the GPS.

^ totally forgot about the power cable. I use the cigarette lighter in the center console and run it up to the driver side windshield. looks dangerous with a cable running through the gear lever and steering wheel. if you drive a lot it would be a good idea to prewire the cable or tap into the 12v

Is the A-pillar mount something you or someone fabbed themselves or is there a gauge pod like aftermarket A-pillar replacement?
