I have a full K/N intake and when I tell people that, the next thing I say is it was one of the few things on the truck when i bought it. I would never pay that much for a stupid CAI. You're essentially paying $30-$40 for the cone, $20-$30 for materials (if that), and $150-$200 for the K&N name. If the name is worth that much to you, then get the kit. Otherwise get the exact same performance for 1/4 of the cost

Yep, I hear ya' AF... If I only knew then what I know now, LOL...
I bought a K&N for my '04 in September of '04. Spent $289 on the thing then. I've since made about eight for other people, saving THEM a ton of $$$. Live and learn, I guess...
Oh, and Johnny, I believe that pic of your intake is now the single most posted pic on DF... LMAO!!!
