Cams... This is giving me a headache!!!!
I have a spartan cam sitting in the gasrage right now waiting to go in. Now the more I have been looking into it the more I am not sure about installing it.
The more and more reading I do the more the Comp 268 seems to sound like an all around better cam (easier tuning, better track times, more mid range, more compatible with my setup right now). So I am thinking of selling the spartan and ordering the 268 instead.... Should I???
Here are he details for the 268

My best was mid 14's last time i was out there on street tires. With dr's on it should drop to the low 14's to high 13's as is. My 60 foot sucks right now. With the addition of the cam and some weight reduction hopefully low 13's adding heads should put it in the 12's. Or at least that is what alot of people have been telling me lately (all guys running rcsbs in the 12's right now).
Would you be running your DR's as street tires as well or would you have another set of rims for track use only. If thats the case might as well pick up some pizza cutters for the front or something on a 17 to cut rotational weight.

if your friend will take the cam its an obvious choice. go with the 268. im not really sure why you got the spartan in the first place lol. the 268 is popular for a reason. the spartan isnt popular for that same reason
