Default I want to make 09 style storage bins..possible??

probably only one that thinks the 4th gen rams with the in floor storage bins are cool! so I'm wanting to install my own. besides lees auto, anyone else know where to find them? preferably under 100 bucks lol. or would installing an in floor 12 volt cooler be a better idea? I like idea of keeping refreshments cold especially on my hot summer trips to get 'illegal' fireworks =D and to our local-ish lake. true true, could take a regular cooler but those aren't 'cool'. opinions anyone?

I think they are cool but to make it work and look OEM it would take lost of work and dollars. IMO just rock a normal cooler and keep those floors unmolested.

i think they're awesome. putting one in wouldnt be THAT hard. as long as you're good with metal, cut a hole in the floor, weld in a box with a drain hole in the bottom, and you're done. i think having a cooler in there would be more work than its worth. just use ice

Lololol. I've got an 07 mega cab so there's a lot of floor realistate to 'molest'. so a built in cooler or the bins themselves wouldn't come out right? there isn't a lot to the floor board? or is there? I think Tim Allen/jackass style, whip out sawsall and cut away =D with rotozip too of course. hmmm what about turning storage bin under front middle seat into a cooler? the bin itself is already there, and the rear air vents are under the bin.....reroute work? us a/c as cooling system...cept my 2 girls in back would lose out of the cool air

Oh well with a Mega you have a **** load of room. Go for it just use proper methods of corrosion protection and a good high quality seam sealer to prevent leaks which will result in rust. IMO just use ice and leave the AC as just AC for the occupants.

Did anyone ever do this in a Quad Cab? I saw this in person a couple of days ago and I would love to put one in my truck.

I dont know of anyone who has done this in an older truck. Getting the coolers modded in there isnt the issue I dont think. It is the top part and cosmetics which would be a wee bit tricky.
