As for the topic. Ive got mine wired to the low side (yes please do check the polarity) and even on 100* days here I can keep her cool. Im a running a 180* stat and my controller cuts my fan on at about 200*

Got mine set on about 175'ish, just before my 180* thermostat opens, now I have the Flex-a-Lite and at 3300 cfm it's a bit more air flow than a Furd fan on the low side but I NEVER get near the half way mark not even sitting in traffic, inching along on 95* days.

Sorry for no pics of install. I've been busy these past couple weeks. Anyway I just went on a trip which involved driving through mountain passes. So the truck wasn't pulling anything but the temp got to about 3/4, which caused me some concern and almost pulled off the side of the road, but luckily there was a nice long down slope which allowed the engine to cool to the halfway mark. So when I got into the closest town I checked to see if the fan was on at all. So...
upon inspection the fan was indeed on. I grabbed a piece of paper that I had and put it up to the radiator and it sucked it to it with some pretty good force. So, the fan is turning on, and the direction of the air flow is correct. So I decided to adjust the time the fan comes on to a cooler temperature. After that the temperature would go between 3/8 and 1/2 on the temp gauge. After going through another big climb the temp barely went over the 1/2 mark. So I'm guessing I just set the time the fan comes on too high, so that it would be too hot for the fan to keep the engine cool under stressful conditions. Now that it's turning on at a lower temp, I'm guessing the radiator is running cooler which gives more of a cushion for cooling.

Yea, I've got to figure mine out too...It runs great around town. Had one situation while in grid lock, 100 degrees and it got really close to red.
But even worse, while going to our favorite lake fishing, the last stretch is a five mile stretch that's pretty twisty. That stretch also climbs 1010 feet. If I go slow, then it gets dangerously hot. If I pick up the pace a little, it isn't AS bad...but it's still WAY hotter than I would like.
I'm going to wire up the 2nd speed on the controller and see if it holds. Also, I'm going to change to a 180 stat for summers and switch back to my 195 for winters. Call me crazy, but I like warm toes.

Anyone here of this company? http://www.dccontrol.com/fancontrol.htm#chc They sell a kit that controls both the high side and low side from one controller.
I want to run in the high side but won't it hurt the fan if I turn on the high side while the low side is on?

Thats the one I bought and use. However, make sure you also get a AGU fuse holder and some 60 amp fuses for the high side of the fan.
As for the relay, you will need to file down the width of the contact blades as they are more wide and may not fit your socket.
