teach the gears and install shouldnt cost more than $1800. thats what i paid for my front/rear, auburn, and install
That is right around the quote that I got. Still have to do some more shopping around but the one shop I spoke to has done a ton of these gear installs which makes me feel comfortable taking the truck to them.
Frog, drop me a line if you run into any snags, or need any pointers. after having my damn tranny out so many times, im pretty comfortable with the whole process. i will be swapping my tranny out this weekend as well. so if anybody wants/needs any specific pics or videos of anything, let me know beforehand.

Pics of disassembly would be great. Something to go by when I pull mine out for the converter install.

will do. its fairly simple though. as long as you can easily take your exhaust on/off like i can.
pull both your drive shafts off. unbolt/unhook your exhaust if possible. remove all electrical connections (you dont really need to label them, they can only go in their own spots) support tranny with a jack. remove cross members. remove structural dust cover. use a 24 or 36" extension to remove bolts from bellhousing. slide off old converter, slide on the new, reassemble.
