I totally agree, the best my truck ever did was 18.7 mpg measured miles/volume. The TC lowered the mileage and the gears increased it so if I stay on the highway with the TC locked I get 17-18, if in town 14-15. The TC is great fun but I don't think it is the optimum mod for all trucks. Depends on what you want the truck to do and to what level of modification you are willing to go.

 

I want a tc now. The wait is going to be a killer for me. This modding bug is hard to kick.

 

I hear that. I had NO intentions of doing any of this performance stuff yet.

 

Just wish I had more cash to knock out the rest of my list.

Not much left for me. I am looking at a converter, some tuning for the cam down the road and maybe gears. After that I am going to wrap it up with the big mods. I got some other stuff that will need my attention coming up so I don't even know how many of the things left on the list will get done.

 

Thats a small list left to do.... Only a couple grand worth of parts and you're done. I wish I only had a couple grand left in parts before Im done. Still gotta get some BV heads, cam ordered and in, e-fan, custome tune, hood, spoiler and paint... damn mod list keeps getting longer and longer and longer and the price keeps getting higher and higher.... Damn mod bug!!!

 

Yeah, I hear you, I strayed and got the body work done before finishing the performance mods. I just couldn't stand the painted rear bumper. Unfortunately the body work costed about three times what I thought it would. Well at least the list is short with, heads, cam and LT's. As for now I want to play and show off a little. We have street night at the local strip I want to check out. Great fun....

 

Yup, I am hoping it is only a couple grand left. The thing that will kill
me is the gears bc I will have to farm out the install. The converter I can do myself but not gears. So front and back install plus a dtt in the rear is going to cost me. That will probably come last if I end up doing them at all. Might just do the converter and tuning and then all it done for a while.

 

Order up a TC and we can do an install day. Mine will be here next week.
