yep, you are gonna need new shocks, especially with 3".

A torsion key lift is gonna stiffen the ride a good bit, the higher the lift (and 3" is a pretty extreme level), the more tension is placed on the torsion bars, therefore the ride will stiffen proportionately.

At 3" I'da opted for a body lift myself. NO stiffening of the ride and stock shocks can be retained. Also, a 3" level in the front places the CV axles at a VERY bad angle, weakening them significantly. Personally, I kinda think 2" is the max on a level kit, although some people don't have any major issues with a 2 1/2", but many do.

Oh, and I hope the hell you've done an alignment on it since the lift...

Basically you've increased your suspension height by 3", so the stock shocks will have a tendency to "top out" 3" sooner. You'll need to look for a shock that is approximately that amount longer than your stock shocks.

Many brands out there, just depends on how much you wanna pay, how you use your truck and what kinda quality you are looking for...

I just got Pro Comp ES9000 shocks for my truck after I leveled it. They ride GREAT for me. http://www.4wheelparts.com/Lift-Kits...ShockingES9000

Don`t order them off there site though. Call them on the phone and tell them you have a level on the front and that you need longer shocks.

The Pro Comps are decent shocks for the money. Current contract is with Tenneco who is the parent company of both Monroe and Rancho. I run the ES3000s on my Grand Cherokee. ES9000s are a little stiff for a 4000# SUV, but just about right for a QC pickup.

Keep your eyes open, 4 Wheel Parts will run a "buy three, get one free" sale three or four times a year on the Pro Comps...

I have the mx6 shocks on mine with the adjusters but I have not yet seen the difference between setting 1 and 6. But then I don't have a bumpy road to test on.
