just changed my rear diff! so easy a caveman could do it!

Looks good. What prompted you to do this? How many miles are on the truck? Have you done it before?

im thinkin i should paint mine next go round. did the paint harden up the little rubber plug for the fill hole?

I just painted the outside part of the plug so its fine. My truck had 34,000 miles but both diffs were original and never changed so i did it. The rear was so easy and it was my first time doin it. I paid my buddy that works at dodge $40 to do the front diff for me b/c its way easier with his lift.

What kind of differential did you put on and how much was it? Is it a locking one, as opposed to one that doesnt lock?

he changed his differential FLUID, not the whole unit.

well, i just got regular hex head, stainless. nothing fancy.
