Default Radiator Flush ( need Help)

I want to do a radiator flush and change the thermostat, i have a 04 hemi 1500 . was wondering if there is a drain plug or hose on the bottom of the radiator ? or where the lowest and best point is to drain the fluid is ? anything else i should know or so while i am doing this process would be great to know also !!! thanks

i've always just pop the bottem hose off and take a garden hose and spray into the top of it lol... its pretty redneck but it works. make sure you have a couple 5 gallon buckets around

There is a drain plug on the drivers side bottom of the rad.

Weeds' right---duh!

Actually, the fsm says to just open the drain to a bucket without opening the rad cap, this will pull all the coolant out of the bottle too.

There are also plugs in the bottom of the block (NPT fittings) I think they're 1/4" that can be removed for a complete drain. I installed drain ***** when I did mine last.

so open drain plug and just let it drain without truck on right... thanks guys

might want to do an anti-freeze water mix if it drops below freezing in Illinois

yep did that , i did a 50-50 mix. i thought i was going to use more fluid but i only used 3 gallons . i guess thats not a full flush , is that bad that i didnt get it all out ? thermostat went in easy so that was good , i guess when i said radiator flush in my head i was thinking system flush. and come tho think about it i only did a radiator flush . im not sure how to get it all out ? unless i cant? thanks again for the replies guys all helped and were great info !!!
