I have a 2005 Dodge Ram Quad Cab that came with the Goodyear highway tires with 20 inch rims. The problem is that there are absolutely no treads on them and I live in Alaska. I was wondering what is the biggest tire size i could go without any rubbing? I dont have a lift or anything on the truck also.

The 20 inch wheels are going to kill you if you want an all terrain. They cost a pretty penny. If you had 17 wheel i would think a 285/70/17 would fit on a 4wd. The 20's i'm not sure.

im in the same boat but i got the 17's with no leveling kit.. so 285 70 17s are the largest i can fit?
What would best set of tires and rims for off road tires in your opinion? I have to deal with the winters in Alaska every year and they are sometimes unforgiving.
the toyo m/t is a good offroad tire for alaska. they hold up great to the rocks and do good on the snow and ice and everything. if u go with the toyo m/t i'd recommend getting them siped which helps with traction and everything.

I would get a basic set of 17 inch wheels and set of a bfg all terrains. If you wanted you could keep your 20's for the summer with a street tire on it and then get a set of 17 inch steel wheels for 70 bucks a piece and put winter tires on it for the snow.
You can run a 35x12.50 on a 05 4WD w/a level and if you use the factory wheels but you may need a small spacer. They won't rub but with some articulation they may.
