Ha Sloooow I knew what that was as soon as i saw the dielectric grease. I make those at my plant. And jake7 that plug is to charge your flux capacitor to 1.21 gigawatts. haha no, did you buy it used? Do you live in a very cold area? It could be a block heater PO installed.

Some do have block heaters. I happen to have a copy of the window sticker here and mine apparently does have the engine block heater option ($90) so somewhere under the hood, there is an electric plug (just ran downstairs to the garage and took a look - yes, there's a plug there). A block heater is about as useful as ***** on a bull in this climate, but if I lived up north and parked outside all winter, I'd probably appreciate it.

Thanks Photog-
It gets cold here in the winters but not as cold as a lot of other places. Plus it'd be strange having an extension cord running from my apt to my truck...it'd have to be a loooooong cord ha

Don't you have any friends on the first floor?

(assuming the building isn't too far from the lot...)

Agree with everyone else. It is your ambient temp sensor for your OHD.

You other thread was moved because it was not technical related but more sheet metal and body related because you kissed a deer.

Your Ambient Temp Sensor is P/N 56042395 (about $25) and the bracket for it is 56045658AA (about $15)

The PCM uses it as a tuning device as well. It compares the ambient temp to the intake air temp. It will throw a code is missing or out of range.
