On the harness connector it has (most do) a colored (wht, red, yel) plastic slider lock. Push the slider lock 3/8 and wig-wag the connector out of the socket.

'06ers, am I correct about this connector on the tail lite assy?

RockyRR, stay with DF, these people here are great and will work you through this dilemma.

Should be a white/velvet wire for a reverse light I'm about to do the same thing
