I was looking under the dash on dad's truck, and could not for the life of me, find the blue connector everybody speaks of. We bought it with the OEM tow kit, so I know it should be there. I felt around that computer box, tugged wires, lifted the carpet, everything I could think of, but didn't see it.

I'm thinkin about buying dad that long-named brake controller that everybody raves about on here...$150 on ebay with the dodge connector isn't bad at all.

 

You mean the pig tail that hooks to the controller or the plug the pig tail plugs into under the dash?

 

The blue plug that's under the dash that the controller and it's connector would plug into

 

Mine didnt have it because it didnt have the tow package. My buddy's 03 had it but he had the towing package. You sure just isnt a dealer added hitch? Does it have the 7 pin on the bumper?

 

Yes, it has the 7 pin.

 

it should be to the left of the brake pedal under the parking brake on top of a white box. with a tag that says electric brake

I don't know if I saw that unit ot not. I saw a computer-box that was horizontal, about the size of a 3.5" computer hard drive, with a gazilion and 1 wires going to it. Those pictures make it look more like it's oriented vertically against the firewall?

Marx you got it , yep its all the way on the left up by the firewall, you lay down under there and look all the way up to the firewall its there if you are pre wired!!!!
