Got *HID* Problems? Check in here...
Sure there are complete kits but they cost a lot more because they take advantage of the fact that they have a 100% canbus working kit where you can buy 4 resistors for less them 20 bucks and do the same yourself. its all about how much money you want to spend.
I recently purchased led halo projector headlights with 800k hids. They turned on perfectly the first time, and havent worked sense. I NEED HELP, ITS TOO LATE TO GO BACK TO STOCK. I AM UNABLE TO USE LIGHTS AT NIGHT
well you really need to give a lot more info. Are you those fake hid bulbs that are actually halogen bulbs or do actually have ballasts? If you are using true hids with ballasts, have you checked the fuse on the relay harness? Did you recheck your grounds and connection from the hid harness to the oem head light wiring?
Im having an issue with my headlights... I had the HIDextra kit on and my low beams were not working. So I switched back to my factory bulbs and the low beams are still not working..
Could it be my headlight switch? Since theres no headlight fuse??

Real hids with ballasts, i got the hids to work today, but cant get the led's or angel eyes to work. I think i'll take it by somewhere to get it done because im tired of f-ing with this crap.
so what did you do to get the hids to work. other might have the same problem and need to know.
as for the angel eyes and leds, one wire is 12v and the other is ground. find out which is which and put ground to ground and wire the 12v wire either to the parking lights wire that is 12v or to a switch and to the battery

So my truck (canadian truck) has the reduced voltage high beam DRL's. I went ahead and installed the full bi-xenon 10K kit, i made up a resistor plug for passenger side stock unused harness, then spliced resistors into the high and low beam wires of the Relay Harness, mounted ballasts and plugged everything in and presto everything works!
The reduced voltage DRL's don't seem to affect the hids but do make my high beam Xenons run at full brightness during the day! I assume this is since the relay harness is only recieving the highbeam signal from the stock harness and then pulls power to the hid's from the battery?! Either way its not a big deal i just have to remember to toggle on the driving lights so its the low beams and im not driving around all day high beaming people!
I also had a problem with the heat of the resistors causing one resistors solder joint to the wire to break off and melt the insulating rubber (i didn't mount to frame or put in a good airflow location)
! This was causing my low beams to blink a couple times then shut off, I re-solder and insulated it and decided to mount them to a piece of the frame close to the grill for better air flow! So far everything has been working good! I love the look of my new lights, and reading through this thread made it a much easier job, much appreciated guys!!
