Its an enclosed relay. Kinda hard to change it without buying another harness... I see it as the lights lose signal from high to low, which i don't understand, would a capacitor fix that?

Caps wont fix that.

With non HID projectors but with bixenon bulbs.........

"low" beam should be on ALL the time. When you do high beam, all it does it energize an electromagnet in the base and "tilt" the bulb making it mimic high beam

The relay is sealed but can be disconnected from the harness. My suggestion is to go to ebay and buy another bixenon harness and try it

With that being said, high beam on bixenon bulbs usually sucks anyway because they light is so scattered. Might as well leave it as is IMO.

Which relay harness did you purchase and from where?

I'm betting it's missing the Hi-Low Connector and that's why the elecromagnet isn't being triggered...

I love the harness I got from the retrofit source... zero problems so far and been installed since a week after x-mas.

Apologize. Resistor harness had the ground on the left. Not the middle. Switched works great!

Default I just need clarification

I have read and re-read alot of the posts on here. I purchased a kit off of ebay for my husbands 2006 Ram Big Horn. We know that he needs the relay and resistor. Right when we are convinced we are about to purchase the right kit, he becomes leary because from everything I read on here it seems he needs to relay harness for the 9007 and not the 9004. We purchased a Xenon kit...admittedly a cheaper one off of ebay. Can you guys confirm or point me in the right direction of what resistor and relays to purchase? Thank you.

Link to what I purchased...

His original bulb is Philips H13 12V 60/55W if that matters..

You will need a H13 xenon HID harness because the H13 is what is going to connect to the OEM trucks harness.

Now with you having separate lows and highs in those ebay headlights, you may have to modify the harness

Something in your wiring isn't correct. Keep trying. You're almost done

Definitely a wiring problem, I've seen some people invert the connector that goes to the electromagnet on the bulbs on the cheaper harnesses that don't prevent you from inverting the connector.

I've also seen Pins bend/break on the OEM headlight connector which can cause the low beams not to work b/c it turns the relay off.

It would also help us to know what year Ram you have, and what harness you are using.
