so my ram threw a CEL first night driving it. It's a c code 81 00 then it said 00 00 after that. Any ideas?

 

You need to take it someplace like an auto parts store where they can connect an OBD scanner to it and get the real codes off. They will likely be something like P0700. You may have more than one so write them down and post them here. Then we can help more

 

well i really hope I dont have a 700 series code!! From what i searched code 81 mean something about radio input high or something like that. Drove perfectly fine though

 

I hope you dont have a P0700 code either because that would be really bad but I just came off another thread at the time i posted that and that was the code in that thread so it was fresh in my mind......lol......not trying to jinx you though.

 

so basically these codes you get off the dash mean nothing? C code 81 that i found on the net said "Remote radio switch input circuit high"

 

They have a meaning and I thought I had them book marked but I guess not. But problem is everyone uses OBDII scanners for they get OBDII codes with are universal on all rides unlike those codes off the IC which are proprietary and the info about them is really hard to find

 

but chances are its nothing serious and has to do with some wiring for the radio? I know the guy I bought it off of had a different deck and put back the oem deck when I bought it

 

I don't have anything that says open close loop monitor.
