So I have most of my dash apart too.
My recirc door has completely broken and fallen into the unit.
All the other doors/actuators are fine. I'm going to buy the kit from Heater Treater based on feedback I've seen on here and other places. Hope I can do it without pulling the entire unit out of the truck.
IS the Silver amp looking thing the radio amp or is it the trucks computer??? If it's the amp I'll have it checked out because I have no sound coming out of the passenger side of the vehicle. yeah, I've checked the balance ****!
You can see the silver thing on the left side of ShortyR6's picture!

once you have the dash in that position, the 5 screws/nuts off, AC lines off, and coolant lines off, it just pulls away from the firewall and out the passenger door.
i am glad i pulled the dash, as opposed to cutting the box apart. its a little more work, but i rather do it the right way. its not hard, just takes up a little time.
once its apart, it really goes back together rather quickly.

heater treater shows you how to cut holes in the HVAC unit, but i am kind of OCD about just doing it right. not that the heater treater repair is not right. if you cut the holes you dont need to remove the whole dash.
