Default ETC Flashing Fault - P2108, P2172, P2106 Codes

Need a little help with the following; I tried searching but couldn't get the search function to work for me.

I got these faults over the weekend after using a bottle of Sea-Foam in my tank and driving if for about 80 miles or so. The truck then sat for about 12-13 hours and when i went to start it gave me a hard time and when finally doing so I got the flashing lighting bolt, not sure if it's coincidental or not but just wanted to throw it out there so y'all new.

Anyhow... I did the key trick and got the following coded:

P2106 - Throttle Actuator Ctrl Sys-Forced Limited Power

P2108 - Throttle Actuator Ctrl Mod Perf

P2172 - Throttle Actuator Ctrl Sys- Sudden Hi Air Flow Detected

Researched them a bit and ended up cleaning my throttle body and trying it out... No luck.

The following day Replaced the throttle body entirely along with ALL SIXTEEN spark plugs and still no luck. The damn thing is still running idling crap with little to no response from the pedal.

What do you guys think could be the problem, the only other thing I can think of is it's the actuator connected the tension cable from the foot pedal.

Thanks in advance,

Esco

Forgot to mention that but yes, I've reset them by disconnecting the battery for about a min or so and try it again, still the exact same faults come back. Funny you mention the super chip, mine CEL doesnt come on so the super chip doesn't pick anything up, I had to do the key thing in order to get the codes. I've evengone as far as reprogramming the truck a d it still comes back. There's defiantly a faulty component I just need to locate it.

Thanks.

Since this happened AFTER using Seafoam, maybe you should start with telling us how you used it and where you used it.

This particular day I was headed down to the coast (about 80mi away) and I'd been meaning use up some old gas I had in the garage (10 gallons) so I poured the gas into the truck (resulting in a full tank 25gal) and added the sea foam behind it. The ratio should have been 1oz per gallon so I thought it would be a good time to use it since I was going to be on the road for a good amount of travel back and forward from the coast. Once I got back from the coast the truck could sit for about a month until my next trip. needless to say, I didn't get that far... after I fished all day and was getting ready to head home is when I had the issue with starting/running the truck, I then had a buddy of mine come down and we siphoned all but about a 1/4 tank of gas out and replaced it with premium. It didn't help.

@ weedahoe - would you mind elaberating a bit on the AAPS. How can I check it to know if it's bad or not. can i replace it or does it have to be factrory tuned considering i don't have a calibration device. I'd like to mention that when I originally drove the truck home and check the error coded this one was also present:

P2299 - Brake Peddal Pos / Accelerator pedal Pos Incompatable.

But after cleaning the throttle body and resetting the codes it never came back.

If i don't get anywhere by today, I'll go ahead and have it towed to the dealer.

I am having exact issues as original post.

What was the outcome/repair?

I suspect the PCM is bad.
Not sure to have mine towed to the dealer or replace PCM myself.

Thanks.

I'd like to make a suggestion before you guys tow em. disconnect he battery, turn on headlamps to discharge all energy. Under the hood on the passenger side is the PCM for the engine control. Pull the plugs off the computer module and check all the connectors on both sides very carefully. It sounds like your getting fundamental faults on components that ran fine previously. If you find any corrosion, clean everything carefully but completely, then using silicone grease, lightly packed into the connector block side, reconnect the plugs, re-energize the truck and start it up.
If it throws more codes, then come back here with them, the guys here have performed miracles in the forum

Just finished looking over the PCM connectors. They looked ok. Gave them a full once over and lightly packed the connector sides with silicone grease.

Hooked the battery back up and started it.

It immediately rev'd and then started it's horrendous idle.

Current codes are:
2108, 2172 and 2106 twice.

2003 Ram 1500 5.7
60k miles
Haven't had any problems until now.

History of problem:
Drove home to/from work as usual. All was fine until I was about 1/8 mile from home. Right when I turned on my street, the Hemi started to run like Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

It was everything to get it backed into my garage. Misfiring, stalling and wouldn't stay running unless I kept my foot on the pedal.

So there it was....a heap, but thankfully in my garage.
I pulled codes and got P0108, which is high voltage-map sensor.

Off to the dealer I went to get a new map sensor.
Replaced map sensor and problem remained.
I cleared the code and it didn't come back.

I figured I had something in the fuel, so got fuel system cleaner and tried my best to keep her running to get it through the injectors. No mosquitos for miles while I did this. The truck ran major rich and was stinking out the neighborhood.

I figured I'd do the basics...
So I changed spark plugs and wires and cleaned the throttle body.

Put everything back together and started her up. Still ran like crap, but would stay running without foot on gas pedal.

Shut her down and disconnected the neg. battery to reset computer.

Hooked everything back up and started her up.
Same as before, but had a nasty backfire.
That didn't sound good.....and now pushing on the gas does nothing.
Shut her down and checked everything out. No clue.
Checked codes and had P2172 and P2108.

Replaced throttle body with new one from Stealership.

Reset PCM again with disco of neg. battery terminal.

Start her up.

Same ****e.....and pushing on the gas still has zero input. Like not having a gas pedal.

So:
Replaced plugs, wires, map sensor, throttle body and checked and rechecked all wires/hoses.

Stumped.
