One is under a coil pack 2-- 10mm bolts, and one is at the end of a plug wire, both next to each other, on each cylinder

Also, keep the plug wires layed out as set stock, on these it makes a difference.

What is accomplished by changing the wires and what are the other 8 plugs for??

Seems the ones on the wires fire on the exhaust stroke and don't really do much......ideas??

Old wires don't conduct as well as newer ones. The 2nd set are mostly there for emissions, but I'm sure it helps a bit for power/mpgs.

Helps burn all of the gasses. Required to pass emissions since the Hemi design is great for power, not so good for emissions.

Uh ... I don't see how the "second plug" could possibly fire on the "power stroke" since it is only a few inches from the primary plug. Last time I checked, electrical power travels only slightly slower than the speed of light through wires. Maybe I missed something. Wouldn't be the first time. JM2C

^^^ Start by downloading the Service Manual for your truck (or any 03-05) and read about the coils, plug wires and wasted spark.
