Default AC Compressor clutch/recharge

I noticed that my AC was not pumping out cold like it should. So went to advanced auto and picked up Arctic Freeze recharging can that has the gauge and everything with it. Followed the directions on can, when plugged tip on the gauge shot up to the red. I can see and hear the compressor clutch engaging and disengaging every 5 seconds or so. When it does that the gauge will go up and down all in the red. I don't know exactly what is going on, is there to much freon stuff inside or whats up. Please help advise....Thanks

Sounds like you tied on to the high-pressure side. Short-cycling of the compressor is a real good sign of low refrigerant.

I thought I was doing just that, so i found the other one and just tried to attach it and it would not even fit on the end.

That's the way it's supposed to work. It should only fit on the low-pressure side. Just to be sure, are you connecting to the fitting on the larger-diameter tube?

There is a pic of where i attached it to. I start truck like it says and connect it, the gauge shots right up into red. I don't know if it is to full or what.

Your system is full of air. It needs to be vacuumed down, checked for leaks, then properly recharged.
How low does the pressure go while the compressor is engaged?

It goes from little over 100 PSI when off and when it kicks on it jacks up to 150 PSI or above, maxes out the gauge.

It should go down when it kicks in. I sounds like there is a blockage in the system, either the receiver/dryer of orifice tube. Either way, if it is blocked, it is usually from the compressor coming apart internally.
I would try evacuating the system. Locate and remove the orifice tube I'm not exactly sure where it is in the line. It has a screen on it and if it is full of junk, then more than likely, your compressor is toast. You will need to replace the compressor, orifice tube, and receiver/dryer. Vacuum the system to 30" of vacuum then add oil and charge.
