Default Rear end shudder 2007 Ram 2500 st quad cab?

Rear end shudder 2007 Ram 2500 st quad cab? I had a bad universal a month ago in the drive shaft. Now when you take off or turn before 10mph the truck seems to have a slight shudder coming from the rear. Any thoughts? Its going to the dealer this week to get check on. No weights are missing on the drive shaft.

Thanks

Joe

This is my third 3rd gen ram, and they have ALL done it....with the exception of after rebuilding my rear end after it locked up in the first one.... I'd love to know what exactly causes this too, although my theory is the clutches in the rear are slipping during that shudder. Maybe changing fluid and making sure you put the chrysler clutch addititive in will help?

Thats good to hear. I only notice it, but not all the time, when I'm doing a turn from a stop. I never notice it otherwise.... Anyone else with same syptoms and fix? Thanks!

Clutch chatter. A fluid change with LS additive should fix it.

a common thing also since you just changed u joints is that you didnt mark the drive shaft before you removed it, now it is out of balance. simple fix just undo u joint and rotate. work at a repair shop and have seen it happen alot. its a lot cheaper and easier place to start with at least.

It was the LSD that fixed it thanks for the help. Sure is strange it would not call for it.

The driveshaft is balanced as a separate unit and it should make no difference on a late model vehicle. I flipped mine for a 60mph vibration and nothing changed. I have had the one in my Mustang out several times and never marked it. I also just installed a new aluminum one in the car and it didn't care which way I bolted it up.
