well i got my truck 2 weeks ago..first thing i did was change the oil..the previous owner used royal purple..i put in regular oil,truck ran ruff at idle and sometime goes aways when the car is warmed up..so i change the oil right away to vavoline syn..i used the premium bosh filter both times also..truck still runs the same..but that day it was over 100 degress and the battery died so i had to jumped the truck,and sine them the battery is fine..no problems cranking...is the battery causing this bad idle or something else?..its one of those shiit autozone duralast batteries

whats the good spark plugs to use?..and i seem they might be a pain to get too..is there any easy way to get at them?

 

I believe the hemi's like the copper plugs? Someone with a hemi want to confirm this. Bosch or NGk. As far as getting to them its not that difficult. Just take your time and you'll be good to go

the plug wires look fine to me. I'd def change the plugs though. I thought my truck idle'd fine but it idle'd 100 times better after changing the plugs

 

If the plugs have >40K on them, it may be time to replace them. I used NGK 5306s on both my Hemis. A throttle body cleaning and a dose of Sea Foam may provide some improvement.

 

A rough idle problem sounds like a dirty IAC (Idle Air Control) Valve located on the throttle body.

 

Not on a drive by wire Hemi. They do not have one.

Put either the NGK's mentioned above or the OEM copper Champion plugs. Hemi's run best with these.
