You spent 350 for the whole hood? Why not just go buy the scoop for about 60, get it painted to match and apply it yourself. Thats's what I did with my 02, but I used a different style scoop. Those scoops from the factory are just glued on. While they are installed well; it is still just 3M adhesive. Just my thoughts, it does look good.

If you go to some of the vendors you can get a factory painted hood scoop. I think they come in most of the popular colors...red, black, silver, etc.

You'll have to forgive my ignorance, what would be a vendor?

Looks good. The Dodge factory scoop comes no extra charge painted in red and black. And they bolt down. There is also an adhesive strip but that's just to seal it. Scoop by itself around $200 so you got a good deal.

Don't mean to offend but I gotta ask: Why put a scoop on your hood if it's not going to do anything but drag air and suck bugs into it?

You should consider opening a hole in the hood underneath it and venting the cool air into your intake. I'm sure someone makes a kit for that. THEN you'll be getting somewhere!
