Default Weird coolant leak

So, I have a 2005 Dodge Ram with just over 60,000 miles on it and have noticed a strange coolant leak from the area around the water pump. However, it only leaks when I am parked in my driveway (slight incline, with front end up). When it is parked on flat ground or running, it's as dry as a bone. ???

there is a bead type seal around the pump. some guys have seen blown seals or pitting in the metal to cause leaks. either way, sounds like you just need to replace yours

So it's definitely leaking from the water pump. Parked out back of the firehouse during shift on level ground and the leak reared it's head. Looks like fun in store this week...

A new water pump doesn't cost much. Just jam a screw driver through a hole in the water pump pulley and turn the bolt on the clutch fan counter clockwise.. Our need to pull the radiator or anything else. Obviously now is a good time to change the coolant, radiator hoses and thermostat
