Replacing the PCM isn't going to help you, that isn't the problem. Do the test I outlined above. See what happens.
Sorry haven't made it back on here Between work and life it gets hectic. I did do the test you mentioned. it shifted ok i guess it did go into the gear i commanded. My P.C.M. did come in you were right it didn't help. I've changed the shift solenoid pack, The A.T. oil pressure sensor, did a continuity test on the wires from P.C.M. to the trans connecter. Wires weren't broke. Checked both connecters for damage and corrosion. Changed both speed sensors. i believe I'm down to the valve body. I'm running out kf idea's so any help would be a godsend. thanks for everything.

If you post the actual code I can then post all the trouble shooting steps and diagnostics
I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 2500 4x4 5.7 .. I was plowing and was moving about 8 to 10 mph came to a sudden stop I went to back up had no gear then tried to move forward and also no gears I thought the trans broke it had 2 codes the one for front input and rear out put shafts so I went and bought a transmission with less than 73k miles on it put it in and doing same thing I checked transfer case also seems fine and the trans I removed seems fine.. I’m hearing it’s stuck in limp mode is there a way to get it out or do I have to have the PFM/TCM flashes at dealer I seen a few videos to do something with gas pedal to reset it but there was 3 different ways to do it I tried all 3 and nothing do not exactly sure any help would be really appreciated .. I can take it to the dealer if I have to but with things being slow with work liked to not touch the savings anymore than I have for the other transmission I bought .. again any pointers or help is well appreciated
