Default 2006 5.7 into a 2003 ram short

I may have found a 5.7L engine with only 68,0000 km for 1000.00 .... trouble is i don't know if i can make it work in my 2003 ram short 1500 which has a 4.7L into it right now, and its manual shift . I found the XV motorsports site and discovered the manifold carb kits which get around the firing issues with the computer ect but what about my manual tranny ...anyone know if the 2006 powerplant will bolt up to my manual tranny in my ram ?

Also if i buy this i will have my 4.7L motor for sale...has 220,000 on it and runs strong, sounds wicked but has a top end "cold" tick ..sounds to be in the valvetrain area ... can make a video of it running before i pull it out .

You will have to use a 2500 flywheel and such for the Hemi engine since the 1500 never had a Hemi/manual combo from the factory.
As for the bellhousing bolt pattern, I have heard that they are the same, and they they are different. I wish that I knew for sure. I think they are the same but not 100% and hope someone else can chime in to verify. As for the motor mounts and stuff, you can get that stuff from a donor truck. Mopar offers a carb intake too and I think they offer the stand alone ignition to run a carb. You will need a good fuel pressure regulator to drop the fuel pressure from 60psi to 6.5psi or less for the carb.

You will need one from a 2500 to get a manual trans pcm.

Or they can recalibrate the pcm for manual and program it for 350.00 ...this seems steep , wounder who else programs them maybe cheaper ?
