Hi I have a 05 Hemi QC with a Flowmaster Super 40. I am trying to Catch my brothers 04 silverado SS. Im only losing by 1.5 cars. What are some mods i could do to catch him. Is it worth getting the K&N cold air intake and the Hypertech Programer. Or is there a better Intake or programer out there. Thanks

 

In my opinion K&N is overrated. You can find another CAI for cheaper which has the same results. Some suggetsions: AirAid, AirForce One Performance, etc... You might also want to look into a mass air sensor, throttle body spacer, complete exhaust kits instead of just a muffler.

Me pesonally, I would splurge and buy a functional hood with a scoop and get a ram air box.

When I raced him I thoght he only had a Flowmaster, K&N FIPK. But I found out a couple of days ago the he has had computer work done to his truck Buy PCMFORLESS.COM. (He didnt want to tell me about his little mod he did when i was on Vacation. He said the Huge Power gain was from his K&N. But I found the PCM box in his room a week later ) But SO i was thinking Cold air intake and throttle body spacer and Hypertech Programing. I would be able catch him again. Thanks

 

So he did all that to his sliveroto and only beat you by 1.5 lengths????? You're doing pretty good in that QC then. Get a programmer and a good exhaust system and CAI. Then a 50 shot if that doesn't work.

How far did you run him?

 

it was the 1/4 mile he only takes off faster (twice as fast) Then im Playing catch up with him.

 

What Does CAI mean?

 

Cold Air Intake=CAI There's several good ones out there. The programmers will get you a little HP, it seems that most are getting 20-30 HP with the programmers.
