I bieleve it was the right(low pressure) small port by the firewall to add freon. I didn't see any other connections.
and I have noticed a little moisture by where the low side meets up with the compressor. there is just a little bit of mosture, and when i touch it, it seems as if it was water. it doesn't have an oily feeling to it and disappears after a few seconds of being on my finger.

Looks close. It will vary with rpm and the heat load on the system. The colder the air is being blown across the evaporator, the lower the pressure. The higher the rpm, the lower the pressure as well.
But yes, it is in the right range of pressure.
Also, always use the recirc setting when using the a/c. This way you are cooling the cab air and not the hot outside air. It makes a big difference. Especially once the cab starts cooling down.
