I did a 300 mile drive yesterday - not a hint of shake or vibration upon braking.
This is a tough one.

Found this on the innerwebs - wonder if anyone has had the vibration traced back to a defective trans:

Transmission problems: Vibration that feels like driving over rumble strips while driving at a steady speed is caused by defective transmission torque converter. (2007)
