Default I need help please!!!!!

Ok so i'm trying to order some new rims(wheels) and there's ALOT of different options as far as offset/backspacing. I know that the lug pattern is 5x5.5 I think the backspacing that i want is 4.5 but what's got me a little confused is the offset. I think what i want is -12 Could somebody who knows help me out here? I have a 2006 RAM 2WD/ and the rims i'm looking at are XD Monsters 18x9 also i don't have any lift or level but wanted to do a 275 or 285 70/18 any help would be greatly appreciated don't want to order the wrong ones.

Oh man i've been doing more research now i'm even more confused. Now i think i need the 5.5 backspacing and a +18 offset. I don't want the tires to stick out very far at all.I want them as close to stock as i can.

My DC-1s are 4.53" backspace and -12mm offset. I'm not sure 5 1/2" and +18mm will fit. Positive offset pulls the wheel in, negative pushes it out. Pulling in and increasing the backspace would not seem a good idea. Try 1010tires.com

Mine are good - They do stick out a bit too far for me, but a set of flares will take care of that.

Stock is +20mm offset so get the +18s and they sit nice and flush. I put the monsters on my truck and they don't poke at all.

If your truck has factory 20s they have 33" tires so you should be fine with 275/70/18. The 285s are barely wider and taller. Take the mm divided by 25.4 to convert to inches. You can turn your wheels full lock inward and measure your space in inches and multiply by 25.4 to get the widest possible tires, but honestly 275 should look great and not cause any problems.

Thanks Dude for the info. What was the backspacing you went with? I'm thinking the 5.71 is one the Monsters come in that is closest to stock.Oh and the stock 20's are 32.99" and the 285 70 18's are 33.71" is that too much ya think without a level? The 275 70 18's are 33.16.
