Default Bearing went?

My grandfather has a 2002 ram 1500 quad cab. yesterday he was out and got a flat (front pass side) so he got a ride home. Today he went back with one of my stock 16's from my 2nd gen to put on his truck and drive home. (his truck has 17's) but same tire size. He went to leave he put it in reverse and didn't go anywhere, so he got out to make sure he didn't forget to pick anything up. Nothing was on the ground, he got back in and gave it a lot of gas and it moved a little.
He says it feels like the brakes are locked up, and he thinks the bearing went causing the brakes to lock? Any other ideas?

Way too many details missing. A failed bearing shouldn't kill the brakes unless it got REALLY hot. Kinda sounds like a tranny problem.

The obvious thing to do would be to jack the truck up again, and see if a wheel is locked up.........

Was the parking brake left on accidentally?

Sorry about the details, I just told as many details as I was told. And the parking brake thing I will bring up, he doesn't normally set it but you never know.

Didn't think a 16" rim would fit over the calipers of the 3rd gen Rams.......

16" wheel on a 3rd gen? I bet he has bigger issues right now than just a bearing.

Yep, the 16" rim is jammed into the brake caliper. Must use at least a 17" wheel on a 3rd gen truck.

Dang! Missed that detail! Yep, Gen II wheels won't fit a Gen III pickup.
