Default Leaky Back window, 3rd brake light.

Okay last night Im out in the new Ram, starts to rain and I dont think nothing of it. My son says, "Daddy Im getting rained on". I figure when my wife jumped in the truck she somehow slung water on him. So I say, "Okay", then he says, "See look". So here I am in the wal mart parking lot at 7:30 and my back window is dripping water on my 5 year old. So I call my salesman and say, "Pardon me but I have a question about my back window" well actually I said a lot more than that but this is a family oriented site and I will keep it clean. So the salesman tells me to drop it off, it is under warranty. So I go there then. They give me an 02 Grand Prix to drive-turd- and I leave. Then today he calls me and tells me this is a common problem and that the part to fix the issue is on back order. The service tech has seen this several times and suggests putting scotch tape on it til the part comes in next week. Okay, that sounds pretty crappy but I want my truck back.

So has anyone else had an issue with the third brakelight leaking on their 02-05 QCs??????????????/

I F'n hope not.. I just spent this much on this truck it better not...

Actually it has not rained since we got it, but I have a few questions for you..

What options do you have?
Sliding rear window?
Rear Defrost?
Or non of the abve?

Ours is a QC with rear defroster, no sliding window... Just wondering the similarities..

Plus you said the 3rd brake light is what is leaking, is it the window or the light?

No problems here. Solid back window with no defrost (Yeah, like I need that in South Florida).

Not the brake light, but some of the 3rd gen rams with the roof mounted clearance lights have had some leaks. $100,000 vehicle have there quirks as well.

Solid back window, no defrost. They told me it was a common issue. Something about the brake light. I guess there is a gasket that is messed up or something. It will be here next week. I have the truck and I guess I cant complain. 22k for an 05 4x4 QC SLT Hemi is a good deal regardless. I will let you guys know what the deal is when it is fixed. I might just pull it off to look at it my self. I am probably just as experienced as the 19 year old working on it. LOL

No flames it was just a joke. LOL.

22k for a QC SLT Hemi 4x4?.. now how in the hell did you manage that one? I mean really, the best deal I've been getting is 30,940$ with employee pricing and rebates.

You might need to try another dealer or look for one with a lower sticker price. I only paid 24 for mine last year when they didn't have the employee discount. The sticker was 35

I just kept saying. "thats not good enough."

I was happy with my 04. It wasnt a must buy for me, so once they hit their 'rock bottom' price of 23, 565.00 I said okay, talk to you later.

They called me the next day. with a better deal. 22k I couldnt pass up, plus I ended up getting 17 for my 04 ST. LOL. I think it was because it was a "demo"
