2002 Ram with 5.9l gas wont start.
I got back from vacation tried to start the truck, and it would turn over for about 1 second and die. I am getting 44psi of fuel pressure so the fuel pump is still working, but I cant find the fuel filter to see if its clogged up or not.
Does anyone know if these trucks have a inline fuel filter or is it all together with the fuel pump?

I forgot to add that I can keep the truck running by giving it gas, but once I let off the throttle it dies. The truck also isn't throwing any codes... I don't know if it has to stay running till i warms up or not but I haven't seen any yet.
Im not sure what the fuel pressure is for that truck but it doesnt really sound like a fuel pump to me. Maybe the filter and it should have one in line along the frame rail. It probably needs one anyway so google the fuel pressure and filter location and give it a shot, although im not one for just throwing parts at something. Im a tech so I would just hook my scanner up but I know you dont have that luxury. How long were you on vacation? Was it running perfect before you left? It does bother me that its not throwing a code. Does it run normal while your on the throttle reving it up, or is it sluggish or what?
I talked to a dodge tech and the fuel pressure should be at 50+/- and as low as 45psi. Right now the pressure is at 44psi but how knows how accurate the gauge is... It was running just fine before I left for vacation so I have no idea whats going on. It revs strong when but doesn't stay running so I dont know if its sluggish or not.
I checked all under the truck and couldn't for the life of me find the fuel filter...

get yourself over to the second gen board.. they can help you better..
in the meantime:
remove your negative battery terminal.. wait about five minutes.. reinstall it.. turn it over again..
it sounds as if your IAC has jacked up, and is in need of a reset.. that is the first critter i'd tackle.
edited to add: if your TB is/was gummed up, a bit of sitting could certainly cause what you describe.. your pressure, if truly at 44psi, is low.. you'll want to see at least 47ish, and aim for 49..

Ill post up over there also thanks..
I'll try removing the negative terminal of the battery to see if that will help. I cleaned the throttle body pretty good with throttle body cleaner so thats not the problem (i dont think).

Truck sitting while on vacation? Could be as simple as a low or bad battery. I know these trucks are REAL picky as to the battery being at or near 100% capacity. Have seen a whole lot of problems you wouldn't even think would be battery related be fixed with a new battery.
