Default 6.1L Intake

Has anyone converted their 5.7 intake to a 6.1. I want to do this but I need some more info on it. If it can even be done.

Yes it can be done on 5.7 heads. It gives the bay a nice look.

Did you have to switch to the cars/jeeps timing cover to get the AC out of the way?

That looks freakin sweet.

Thanks.

No Its a truck machined timing cover from Inertia Motorsports to accommodate his AC/ALT relocation bracket.
The AC unit was fully removed to clean it up more.

That looks sweet! It'll void my lifetime powertrain warranty though.

Looks awsome, brother. How much WHP did you gain with this manifold?

You know....looking at the OP's original pics...our untouched engine bays are a mess of wires and plumbing lol.
Looks soooo much better with the ac removed and the 6.1 intake.
Mind you .....I would still need my AC even in the UK
Al.

He had wires too. My '08 with COP's doesn't look that messy. Crowded, but not messy. I didn't have a further away shot, but it's relatively clean compared to 05-prior years. It's not near as nice as the 6.1L look which is very expensive, but here's what stock 06-08's look like.
