Default 2003 2500 Hemi Fan Clutch Removal

Is it counter clockwise facing the engine. Were having a hard time holding the water pump from spinning. Help appreciated.

Yeah. Turn it to your left and stick a screw driver through one of the 4 holes in the wp pulley and it'll catch on something. I think I spun the fan to the right until a blade held the screw driver in place. And then tapped on the 36mm with a hammer to break it loose.

I took a flat piece of steel and drilled 2 holes the same distance apart as 2 holes on the water pump pulley, was a pain but it worked. I'm sure there's a tool made for it. After the water pump was secure I took a hammer to the wrench and it came loose. Had to do this all because the rubber gasket that seals the water pump to the engine started leaking, what a pain.

Now time to tackle the leaking exhaust manifolds.

I should add, I put 2 bolts in the 2 holes I drilled in the steel piece. The bolts went in the holes in the water pump pulley.

I built basically the same tool when I pulled mine in favor of going to an efan. Only difference was I drilled holes into a piece of wood and used two bolts...

I used a air chisel to take the fan off my 2001 360. just hold the chisel on the edge of the nut and pull the triger and then I could spin it off with my fingers.
