Default 4.10 or 4.56 for towing??????

I have a 2003 Ram Hemi 4x4 QC with 3.55 gears. I will be towing around 7000lbs when I do tow. I wanna change my gears for better towing performance. Which is better for all around towing, 4.10 or 4.56???? I am also wanting to get a limited slip differential. What is the best limited slip differential for towing?????

What size tires are you running? 17" wheels with a 35" tire makes 4.56s just about ideal.

Go with the 4.56 and you wont regret it. It will keep you in your rpm's in the power band and youll barely know your pulling. I dont know any brands but i know theres a few out there.

Stock wheel and tire size 265/70-17. I may goto 285/70-17 when my current tires die.

I run a 285/70/17 and its perfect for stock ride height. As far the gear. I highly recommend 4.56 Auburn LSD.

I have the same size tires I went with 4.56 I tow 8500 travel trailer. go with 4.56 you won't be disapointed. I don't have a limited slip. didn't fell it necessary for towing.

My megacab 2500 has factory 4.10's. With the Hemi, it pulls my RV nicely. Granted, mine is only 5000lbs or so, + an atv in the truck bed (another 700lbs). Its also a heavier truck. No complaints in the mountains. Your truck is rated already to tow 7000lbs. You'll be happy with either gear set I think. Your no load driving fuel mileage will become even worse than it is now though. Might be a bit better in town, but highway will suffer.
