OK, got the motor replaced and...
seems like the fan is turning backwards. Air is blowing from inside the engine compartment out the front.

Anyone else have this problem?

Is it possible that you have the polarity of the power plug reversed?

Don't see how I could have. The connector only fits one way.

Sounds like fan is wired backwards internally from what you need. What's it have, positive and ground wire? Try running wires from battery to it, but reverse the positive and ground from way they are in factory plug just to see if it will now turn in the proper direction.

Yep, just power and ground. Already planned to try reversing the connections when I get a chance this weekend.

Having just done it, I agree. The wire assembly has not been modified going back to the fusebox, has it?

You can pop the relay out at the fusebox and check to see that 12 VDC & GND are coming out at the proper pin on the connector.

If it is blowing instead or pulling air through then the wiring is backwards. Just because YOU have it wired right doesnt mean internally the fan is wired correctly.

Well, finally got around to fixing this. Swapped the (+) and (-) connections and all is well.
